Rufus is a friendly boy I got to give him some strokes and he had a good conversation with me, he’s a little chatterbox! I haven’t had a Schnauzer on my blog yet so I was really happy to meet Rufus, what a lovely dog.

I went for a walk at lunchtime today but unfortunately I didn’t spot any dogs, so I drove to the park on the way home from work. As soon as I arrived I spotted a very excited Springer Spaniel so I went over to meet him. Oscar is very active, he hardly keeps still! Oscar was a little bit nervous when I first went over; he used to be bold and would go up to anyone but he became really nervous of new people after a trip to the vets! Oscar warmed up to me though and I got to give him lots of fuss and rub his tum! He especially likes having his belly rubbed and lies down on his back as soon as his humans stroke him! Oscar lives with his human brother who’s 16 months old; he loves Oscar to bits, he make him laugh loads!

Betty is especially friendly she came sat on my knee and I gave her some big cuddles; she loves hugs! Dolly and Betty are sisters, they are from a litter of 5 but they were best friends with each other. When their humans went to see them they couldn’t separate them so they decided they had to take them both home with them! They’re such a cute pair, I’m glad they got to stay together! Dolly and Betty’s humans own a café called Betty and Dolly’s Sandwich Bar and Tea Room, it’s a dog friendly café so the girls get to go to work with their humans. Lots of dogs go into the café and they take a photo of each one that visits and put it up on the wall, what a great idea! They’ve had Bull Dog parties at the café, I hope I can go to the next one! Dolly and Betty are like a pair of celebrities, loads of people stopped to stroke them and a couple took their photo! It takes a while for them to walk anywhere as they have to stop so often for people to stoke them!

It was pouring down at lunchtime today so I decided not to go out on a dog search until I got back to Bolton. I parked up near nursery and spotted a very lovely looking dog across the road so I went to say hello. Lilly was so excited that she did her excited dog dance where she steps from side to side, so cute. Lilly always does her dance when she’s excited! It reminds of a lovely Black and White Corgi I used to know called Pearl, she also used to dance from side to side when I saw her. The excited dog dance always makes me think of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer makes Lisa play the jug to help him think and he does a side to side dance along to the thinking music!

Lilly is such a happy friendly dog, she’s one of the happiest dogs I’ve ever met! Lilly is a Golden Labrador and Golden Retriever cross. When she was a puppy she looked more like a Labrador but her fur has changed as she’s aged and is now darker and with more curls. Lilly is best friends with a cat called Daz, they love each other loads and are always licking each other.

On the way back home from the Lake District we decided to drop off at Carnforth to visit the train station where Brief Encounter was filmed. I’ve wanted to go there for ages and I wasn’t disappointed, the café was great. Whilst we were there we met a beautiful dog called Jo, a Boxer and Husky cross; what a great combination, look at how lovely she is! Jo is a friendly girl, I gave her lots of fuss and she gave me a little kiss! Jo was a very excited puppy but she’s started to clam down as she’s gotten a bit older. Jo loves spending time with her human daddy, they’re with each other most of he time. Jo is really good at catching; she can catch a biscuit that is thrown across the room. As you can see in the photo one of her ears sticks up whilst the other one flops over, how cute.

At first I thought that he was a German Shepherd but as I got closer I realised that he wasn’t. I was sure what he was, I thought he might be a cross between a German Shepherd and a Rough Collie but it turns out that he’s a Belgium Shepherd Dog; absolutely gorgeous! Zadok is a friendly, smiley boy, I gave him lots of strokes. Zadok is named after a Handel piece of Music. Zadok is his humans’ 5th Belgium Shepherd Dog, they really love the breed; I can totally see why. I’m a lucky girl and I’m spending the weekend in the Lake District with some friends. There are loads of dogs in the Lake District so I know I’m going to have good dog spotting this weekend! We went for a little walk to the beach and I spotted a couple with 2 lovely looking Border Terriers and a very excited Border Collie so I went over to meet them. Fred, Alf and Buddy are all very lovely and friendly, I gave them all a stroke and especially Buddy who likes to lean in for a fuss! The dogs humans previously owned another Border Collie called Sam and they got Fred whist Sam was still alive. Unfortunately Sam had a stroke and so they got Alf to keep Fred company when Sam went. As it turned out Sam lived for another 2 years. After Sam passed they missed having a bigger dog. They popped to town one day and spotted a sign for Border Collie puppies for £25 so they went and bought handsome Buddy. They all get on really well, what a lovely bunch of dogs.

I’m going out tonight straight after work so I really needed to find a dog in the daytime today. My usual train to Manchester was delayed so I got on a different train to a different station than usual and I’m glad I did! On my way to work I spotted a chap with 3 lovely dogs so I went over to say hello. I didn’t get a picture of all 3 of them as I just don’t think it would have been possible so I chose to take a picture of Penny, a Long Haired Jack Russell. She was very friendly and I gave her a good stroke.

Penny lives on a canal boat in the centre of Manchester with her human and her dog pals, a Chihuahua and another Jack Russell. They would usually be in London at this time of the year but they’ve had to stay in Manchester this year.

Myself, Ethan, my nephews and my dad all went on a walk for a dog search and as soon as I got to the bottom of the street I spotted a very excited Springer Spaniel. Molly was on a walk with her human daddy and human sister. Molly’s a very happy doggy, she was having the best time chasing her ball! Molly’s human granddad also has a Springer Spaniel called Charlie (her dog uncle!) which she’s friends with, they see each other all the time.

After I saw Molly I also saw beautiful Poppy from Day 3, such a lovely girl. Ethan and my nephews are now obsessed with her, they gave her lots of strokes and she didn’t stop smiling! They wanted to follow her home! When I first saw Poppy I didn’t get a great photo of her as it was turning dark so I got another shot of her today!
