Year of the Dog Day 346

The weather has been terrible today I don’t think it’s stopped raining! I decided that rather than get wet I would see if I could pop round to my friend Lucy’s house to take a picture of one of her dogs. Kita was very excited when I arrived, she made me and Ethan very welcome, she’s a very friendly girl! Kita is a very smiley girl, she wants to spend the whole day giving kisses! Kita is a rescue dog from Leigh Cats and Dog home. Kita came to live with her humans when she was 2 years old. She was found as a stray which has made her a bit of a scavenger. Kita loves her doggy housemate Alba, she’s her best friend.

Year of the Dog Day 253

I’ve met up with some friends tonight after work, it was great to catch up with some of the former IWM North crew! I really wanted to find a dog early on today, I was worried I’d struggle in the evening so I went for a walk when I got to Manchester this morning but no joy! I went out at lunchtime but again no dogs! Fortunately pretty much as soon as I left work this evening I bumped into a beautiful and excited puppy!

Lily is a lovely friendly girl, I think she’s excited to see everyone! Lily was a good girl and sat for her photo, she’s such a cutie. Look at those lovely ears, so gorgeous. Lily likes to chew her lead, she’s even managed to tangle it up!

Year of the Dog Day 252

I was off work today so I popped round to my parents as usual in the afternoon. I was turning the car round at the bottom of the street when I spotted a chap walking a gorgeous Bernese Mountain Dog, but I didn’t have time to park up and get Ethan out of the car to go after them; gutted! Hopefully I’ll spot them again one day.

When I arrived at my parents house they told me about a lovely puppy Husky that they’d seen the other day, I was pretty jealous! We decided to go for  little walk to the park and on the way I couldn’t believe it when we spotted the puppy Husky, what a result! Ghost is such a cutie and she’s so tiny, she’s only 12 weeks old! She’s a really friendly girl, I got to give her lots of strokes and cuddles. I’m so lucky, lets face it who doesn’t want to hug a puppy! Ghost also played with Ethan who wanted to play chase with her!

Year of the Dog Day 243

On the way back home from the Lake District we decided to drop off at Carnforth to visit the train station where Brief Encounter was filmed. I’ve wanted to go there for ages and I wasn’t disappointed, the café was great. Whilst we were there we met a beautiful dog called Jo, a Boxer and Husky cross; what a great combination, look at how lovely she is! Jo is a friendly girl, I gave her lots of fuss and she gave me a little kiss! Jo was a very excited puppy but she’s started to clam down as she’s gotten a bit older. Jo loves spending time with her human daddy, they’re with each other most of he time. Jo is really good at catching; she can catch a biscuit that is thrown across the room. As you can see in the photo one of her ears sticks up whilst the other one flops over, how cute.

Year of the Dog Day 195

I went to the park after work today, it was a slightly different time than usual which was good as there were loads of dogs about. I spotted a lady with 4 dogs so I went over to say hello. It turns out that is was Tank’s (Day 117) human mummy. At first I thought wow she would have her hands full with 5 dogs but it turns out she’s a dog walker! I decided to make Milo, a very handsome Husky my dog of the day. He was very excitable, such a happy and lively boy!

Year of the Dog Day 184

It’s been a lovely sunny day today! I went for a walk at lunchtime and sat in a park for a while but I didn’t spot any dogs. When I arrived back in Bolton I spotted a really handsome looking dog at the top of the station so I went to say hello. I met gorgeous Taz a German Shepherd and Husky cross. Taz is a rescue dog from Bleakholt animal sancuary. He’s 11 years old but his current human daddy has only had him since last August. Sadly in September Taz was diagnosed with cancer in his tail which he’s had to have removed. They then discovered a cancerous lump in his ear which he has just had removed this week, he still has the stitches bless him! He was in really good spirits though, what a lovely boy. Taz’s human had a really hard year last year so he decided that he needed to get another dog; he told me that Taz has rescued him! Taz is a really lovely friendly dog, he gave me a little kiss and I stroked his tummy! Taz’s human is also great, what a really friendly man, it was a real pleasure to meet him!
