I went for a little walk at lunchtime today and as soon as I got to Saint Anne’s Square I spotted a very handsome dog; it’s becoming a bit of a dog hot spot! Bandit is a lovely boy, he was very friendly, I gave him a little stroke and he gave me a little kiss! He’s a cross between a Doberman and an Alsatian, what a lovely combination!

I was at my parents house today when I noticed 2 dogs walking past so I ran outside. When I got out I realised that one of the dogs was Fudge from day 189 so I gave her a little stroke, she’s a lovely girl! Fudge’s human mum is a dog walker and she was also taking Maddie a beautiful German Shepherd for a walk. Maddie is a friendly girl and she’s very smiley! She was very interested when she spotted a squirrel across the road, I think she wanted to chase it! Fudge’s human walks Maddie twice a day and Maddie is always good and sticks by her side!

I’ve been working from home today so I popped to the park at lunchtime; I knew I’d have no trouble finding a dog! I spotted a man up ahead straight away with a German Shepherd so I sped up to catch them. Simba is a beautiful girl, she’s got a smiley, gentle face and I got to give her a good stroke. Simba wasn’t with her human’s but the man that was looking after her was able to provide me with her information. I think he thought I was a bit of a crazy person, but he was very friendly and helpful!

I was returning home in the car when I spotted a very handsome and massive dog down the street so I got out of the car to day hello! Luther is huge, the pictures really don’t justice to show how big he is! He’s a very lovely boy, I gave him lots of stokes and also got to give him a treat! Luther lives with 3 cats; he gets on really well with two of them but the other one isn’t very keen on him, she took a swipe at him when he was a puppy and he’s never forgotten it! Buddy, one of the cats really likes Luther and will climb up on him and go to sleep next to him. Luther has nearly squashed Buddy a few times though by accidently rolling on him! Luther isn’t very keen on the traffic, when I left him he didn’t want to walk on as he was heading towards the main road so he sat firm! His human did  eventually manage to get Luther to walk on!

I went for a walk at lunchtime today and almost straight away I spotted what I thought was a handsome German Shepherd. It turns out that Archie is actually a German Shepherd and Akita cross. I couldn’t see the Akita at first but there were certain facial expressions that he would do where you could see some Akita! Archie is a lovely boy, but he can be a little timid, he doesn’t like load noises. A few people stopped to stoke Archie whilst I was with him because he’s so nice!

Myself and my husband had a day off work today so that we could paint the outside of the house, we’re pretty tired now! I spotted a couple of cute dogs today but at the time I was carrying a big ladder so I couldn’t really stop to say hello! Once we’d finished painting I went for a little walk to the park. I soon as I got there I met a very nice German Shepherd. Mike is a lovely boy, he’s a little shy but he still came over to say hello. He leant into me so that I could give him a good stroke and a cuddle! Mike likes having a fuss made of him, I think he would have let me stoke him all night!

I’ve met up with some friends tonight after work, it was great to catch up with some of the former IWM North crew! I really wanted to find a dog early on today, I was worried I’d struggle in the evening so I went for a walk when I got to Manchester this morning but no joy! I went out at lunchtime but again no dogs! Fortunately pretty much as soon as I left work this evening I bumped into a beautiful and excited puppy!

Lily is a lovely friendly girl, I think she’s excited to see everyone! Lily was a good girl and sat for her photo, she’s such a cutie. Look at those lovely ears, so gorgeous. Lily likes to chew her lead, she’s even managed to tangle it up!

I went to Smithills Hall today with Ethan and some friends and it didn’t take long before I spotted a beautiful Long Haired German Shepherd! Poppy is a very smiley friendly girl, she said hello the Ethan and my friends children Evan and Stanley! She played fetch with them all when they threw her some sticks! Poppy is a very beautiful girl, so beautiful that she has been in Lancashire Life Magazine!

I had a really busy day in work today so there was no time to go out at lunchtime to search for a dog. I also had to work late so I was planning to drive to the nearest park when I got back to Bolton but I was really lucky and as soon as I walked out of the train station I bumped into a very handsome German Shepherd. Sebastian is very friendly, I gave him lots of strokes and he lent into me for a cuddle! I’ve met Sebastian once before, he’s friends with Tank from day 117! Sebastian is very handsome and everyone that walked past commented on how gorgeous he is! When he was a puppy people stopped his humans all of the time to tell them how gorgeous he is, they even had a gorgeous count! I saw a picture of Sebastian as a puppy, very, very cute! Sebastian is also a clever boy, he can do some tricks and even showed me some!

It’s been a lovely sunny day today! I went for a walk at lunchtime and sat in a park for a while but I didn’t spot any dogs. When I arrived back in Bolton I spotted a really handsome looking dog at the top of the station so I went to say hello. I met gorgeous Taz a German Shepherd and Husky cross. Taz is a rescue dog from Bleakholt animal sancuary. He’s 11 years old but his current human daddy has only had him since last August. Sadly in September Taz was diagnosed with cancer in his tail which he’s had to have removed. They then discovered a cancerous lump in his ear which he has just had removed this week, he still has the stitches bless him! He was in really good spirits though, what a lovely boy. Taz’s human had a really hard year last year so he decided that he needed to get another dog; he told me that Taz has rescued him! Taz is a really lovely friendly dog, he gave me a little kiss and I stroked his tummy! Taz’s human is also great, what a really friendly man, it was a real pleasure to meet him!

I had to pop to Afflecks Palace today for work so I was pretty hopeful that I’d spot a dog in the Northern Quarter! I was in luck and on my way back to work I spotted and extremely handsome White German Shepherd called Ambrose. To be honest I didn’t know you could get white German Shepherds before! Interestingly White German Shepherds were disqualified from the German Shepherd Dog club in 1933 when the Nazis came to power! Ambrose is a very chatty and friendly boy, he was talking to us the whole time! Ambrose lives with two cats but the don’t always get on that well! Ambrose’s human grandparents have a massive Saint Bernard; I was shown a picture of the two together and believe it or not Ambrose looked small next him!

I popped out at lunchtime today but I didn’t spot any dogs! When I got home I went for a little walk around the block and it didn’t take long before I spotted a very lovely German Shepherd, lovely Sky. Unfortunately Sky has been diagnosed with epilepsy and her fits can be brought on by a number of things including spraying hairspray and perfume! Fortunately Sky fits have been brought under control with medication but she still has fits from time to time. Sky lives with another dog called Arthur who does most of the talking for them!

I’m still not feeling 100% today but I did manage to get out to the park which is a good thing; I’m pretty much out of my in case of emergency dogs! As soon as I got out of the car I spotted a really beautiful German Shepherd so I went over to say hello! Cassie is a lovely friendly girl, I don’t think she stopped smiling! Cassie was looking forward to playing in the park with her German Shepherd friend that she meets up with!

We all popped to the shop this morning and as soon as we walked in I spotted some people with 2 guide dogs who were there to collect money for the Guide Dog Association http://www.guidedogs.org.uk/.

Inca is a working Guide Dog and has been with his human daddy for 3 years. Inca is pretty tall and his dad was telling me that they breed Guide Dogs to different sizes to match the height of their owners. They also take other things into consideration like how active the person is and the kind of activities they regularly do. It’s so obvious but I hadn’t thought about it before that they would do that, it makes so much sense! Inca was very friendly and was happy for everyone to say hello! He lent into me for a little cuddle!

Rinty is a retired Guide Dog. His previous owner developed problems with his arms and so couldn’t walk with him anymore. They did try to re-train Rinty but they found that he had developed a fear of heavy traffic and so he had to retire. His current human daddy has always had dogs and has been a puppy walker for 13 different Guide Dog puppies. I asked him it was really hard giving them up; I don’t know if I could do it! He said that it is pretty hard but you have to remind yourself that they’ll only be with you for a year and that there going on to do an amazing job! He said that it’s all worthwhile when you receive a letter from there new owner thanking you for the work you’ve done! Rinty also lives with a former Guide Dog trainee that didn’t make it!

I know I’ve said it before but I think that Guide Dogs are so amazing, what caring, gentle, clever dogs they are!

I had to walk to the other side of town for a meeting today so I was hopeful that I would see a dog but unfortunately I didn’t spot any!

I went for a walk around the  block when I arrived at Ethan’s nursery but again nothing! I decided to pop to the park with Ethan and have a look. Usually when I’ve had Ethan with me he’s been in his pram or trike or I’ve had someone else with me so I was a bit worried that he might run off as I’m trying to get a picture but he was a really good boy!

I met very handsome Rocky! He’s such a well behaved boy, he sat whilst I took his picture and I managed to get a shot of him shaking his paw! Rocky was rescued by his current owner. His previous owner died and he was left in the back garden on his own without food for over 24 hours. His current owner heard about his plight and rescued him; they’re best friends now!

I popped round to my parents house this morning (I’m always there, I’m stalking them!) and so went for a walk to the end of their street, a dog hot spot! At first there was no one about but by the time I’d walked round the block there was around 8 dogs! Today I met beautiful Millie a German Shepherd and Border Collie cross, what a cute combo! Millie is a rescue dog from Manchester Dogs home.

I’m really tired today! Probably not the best way to start my post but this is my sixth day in a row in work; I’m very much looking forward to my day off tomorrow! I was hoping I’d find a dog at dinnertime (in the northern sense) today as I didn’t really want to have to go for a walk in the cold and the dark after work! I went to the park where I saw the beautiful Teazle yesterday but there weren’t any dogs about today. I did see one walking past work whilst I was in a meeting but I didn’t think it would be very professional to dash out of a meeting to meet a dog!

After work I parked the car up outside nursery and went for little walk around the block to see if I could find a dog. I spotted a guy further down the road, there were cars in the way so I couldn’t see if he had a dog but I thought he was walking in a “dog walking” way! He was! My doggy senses are getting stronger by the day! I met Ruby the very smiley German Shepherd. Ruby was a little camera-shy!

We were stood under a yellow street light hence the colour of the photo. It looks a bit crazy but I kind of like it!
