Year of the Dog Day 328

The weather has been terrible today! It was raining at lunchtime so I decided to wait until the rain stopped before I went in search of a dog. Fortunately there was a break in the rain so I went for a little walk. I didn’t have to go very far down Deansgate when I spotted a lady carrying a really cute Yorkshire Terrier so I went to say hello. Stanley is a really friendly boy, as soon as I gave him a stroke he started hugging my hand; he didn’t want to let go, so cute! Stanley’s human mummy told me that he walks on two legs nearly all of the time, he’s been doing it since he was a puppy; I didn’t get to see it though! Stanley was on a day trip with his human mummy and her friend; Stanley is from Hull. Stanley likes to go travelling with his mummy and he’s a VIP member of the East Yorkshire Coach Services, he even gets sent his own  newsletters!

It seemed pretty quiet about but then I spotted two ladies walking 3 cute little dogs so I ran down the hill to meet them. I decided to make lovely Jamie-Lee my dog of the day. Jamie is a rescue dog and has lived with her current human since she was 5 years old. Jamie lives with one of the other dogs called Holly; they get on well but Jamie does steel Holly’s toys off her!

She also took her first trip on the bus and she had to get herself a £1 ticket! I dropped Ethan off at nursery and then headed to the park. As soon as I arrived I spotted a lady walking a very cute dog. I thought that Meggie was a Yorkshire Terrier but she’s actually a Chorkie, a Yorkshire Terrier and Chihuahua cross. Meggie is a very friendly girl, she jumped up really high to say hello. They get on really well and all sleep together with Buddy usually lying on top of the other two! It was pretty difficult to get a good picture of all three of them, Buddy was very active, he doesn’t keep still!

I went round to my parents house today along with my siblings, nieces and nephew’s. We all decided to go for a walk to the park. I spotted a few dogs on the way but I had Ethan on my shoulders at the time so I thought I’d wait for the way home to spot a dog! On the way home I got all the way back to my parents street before I spotted a dog! My dog of the day is really cute King a Pomeranian and Yorkshire Terrier cross; what a great combo! He looks a bit like a miniature German Shepherd! Even though King is small, he can jump really far!

I was just getting Ethan in the car when a man walked past with a very cute Yorkshire Terrier. Charlie was very friendly, Ethan was very keen on him! I’ve completed month number 3! I’ve just got 3 quarters of the year left to do!

The weather has been horrible again today! I didn’t spot any dogs at dinner time but I did near my work when I left but I had to dash for a train! The train was slower than usual so I didn’t have time to look for a dog before I picked up Ethan from nursery so I had to wait for my husband to get back from work; the weather was way too bad to take Ethan on a dog hunt! As soon as I could I headed out. I walked for around 30 minutes without much luck; I was loosing hope when I turned a corner and spotted lovely Bobby a very cute Yorkshire terrier. I was very relieved!

I took a break in the afternoon and went for little walk around the block but I still didn’t spot any! I didn’t get back to Bolton until 8pm, it was dark and raining, booooo! I’ve got to be honest, I felt a little disheartened on my way home! I got in the car and drove to the shop where I’ve spotted many dogs before. Just as I pulled in I saw a very cute Yorkshire Terrier so I went over to say hello, I’m a happy girl again! Benji was very friendly and very excited; so excited that he couldn’t keep still! I only  managed to get one picture in focus. It’s not my best picture but I think you can still see how cute he is!

I had such a busy day in work today; there wasn’t a spare minute to go and search for a dog at lunch time!

After work I parked up at nursery and went for a walk around the block but I didn’t see any dogs. I did however see one on my way out of nursery but I couldn’t really stop as I had my little boy with me and it would be really difficult to get a picture of a dog whilst keeping him safe by the road! As soon as my husband got back from work I headed out! I went up to the shop and outside there was very nice little Yorkshire Terrier called Bailey.

Year of the Dog Day 6

I was really lucky yesterday finding a dog as soon as I got off the train, but no such luck today! I didn’t see a single dog on the way to work. I had a meeting in a different building in Manchester this morning so I was hoping that I’d see one on the way there or back but nothing! I’m not sure how many dogs I’m going to find in Manchester city centre during the week, I think I might struggle! I had a meeting in the cafe in Waterstones in the afternoon and fortunately on my way out I spotted a very cute Yorkshire Terrier wearing a sweet little jacket. My colleague Rachel fortunately knows about my blog so she didn’t think I was mental when I shot across the shop to meet the lovely dog! I was very happy to find Rosie!

I already knew yesterday’s dog so today was my first time approaching somebody I didn’t already know to ask if I could take a picture of their dog. Luckily I spotted a very friendly looking lady with a cute Yorkshire terrier and she didn’t seem to think I was too insane when I explained what I was doing!
