I went out and a about a few times during the day but I didn’t spot any dogs in Manchester so I popped to the park after work. It was just light enough, it’s going to get hard when he clocks go back! I spotted Charlie and Lola two gorgeous King Charles Cavalier Spaniels across the park. Charlie was my Dog of the Day for Day 111 so I went over to say hello and ask Lola if I could take her picture! Charlie and Lola are both lovely dogs, they’re really friendly to people and other dogs! I gave Lola lots of fuss, what a cute little face she has! Charlie and Lola were previously owned by a person that didn’t look after them properly and fed them food  which was bad for them. This made them overweight and Lola has had to have some teeth removed. Fortunately they now have humans that love them loads and are able to care for them properly.

Favourite pastime: Bum racing! Lola puts her bum on the ground and races shuffling forward on her front paws! Her human took her to the vets as he was worried that she had worms but she hasn’t and it’s just something that she does!

On my way to the train station heading home I spotted a man carrying a tiny puppy, I couldn’t miss saying hello! Get ready for cute overload as Bill Murray is gorgeous! Bill Murray’s human has only just picked him up from the breeder but I could see how much he loves him already! Bill Murray got his name because his human saw a picture of the human Bill Murray which he thought looked like his lovely puppy. It’s a great name! Bill’s mum is a French Bulldog, she’s very boisterous! Bill’s human hasn’t had time to get to know him yet so we don’t have answers to some of the usual questions but I’ll hopefully be able to update them when he’s older!

I was on my way from the train station to work today when I noticed a really cute Jack Russell so I went over to meet her. Coco is a lovely girl, she very friendly and likes to have a fuss made of her! Coco is quite small as she’s toy Jack Russell; she looks like a puppy! The human that Coco was with is looking after her for a week, she’s been spoilt going to pub with him getting lots of fuss from everyone! I think he’s going to miss her when she goes home.

We popped to Moses Gate Country Park this afternoon for little walk round. When we arrived we spotted gorgeous Geoff the St Bernard; I can’t believe how big he is now, he’s massive! Just near the playground I spotted a lovely looking dog which I thought was possibly a Chow but I wasn’t 100% sure as she looked a bit smaller than the others I’ve met! I went over to meet beautiful China and it turns out that she is Chow, she’s just quite a small one; apparently her brother is massive compared to her! China is very affectionate, I gave her lots of strokes and she properly cuddled into me for a hug! China is really good with kids and loves cuddles!

I was waiting to get off the train this morning and I spotted a beautiful dog on the train, I didn’t have time to take her picture though! I was at the reception desk at work when I spotted a lovely Bedlington Terrier outside, very exciting! I went outside to meet handsome Larry and fortunately Larry’s very kind human dad didn’t mind waiting whilst I ran up to my office to get my camera! Larry is a very nice boy, I gave him lots of strokes and when I was saying goodbye he pulled back towards me for one more fuss! He also has a real spring in his step, he almost skips! Larry’s humans got him when he was 1 year old from some people that had two other big dogs. They think the other dogs might have been picking on Larry as he didn’t look too great. Fortunately he now has a good home and gets lots of fuss, he’s a bit of a lap dog!

I’m working late again tonight but rather than go into work at the usual time I’ve decided to start later so that I can go in search of a dog first thing and not worry about finding one! I dropped Ethan off at nursery and then headed to the park. As soon as I arrived I spotted a lady walking a very cute dog. I thought that Meggie was a Yorkshire Terrier but she’s actually a Chorkie, a Yorkshire Terrier and Chihuahua cross. Meggie is a very friendly girl, she jumped up really high to say hello. Meggie really likes people and other dogs, she always wants to say hello and to play. Meggie is a rescue dog from Leigh Cats and Dogs home, he was found wondering the streets of Salford all on her own!

I forgot my dog blog kit today, booooo! I was going to go out at lunchtime too! Anyway I picked up Ethan from my parents after work and headed home and as Tim was home I went in search of a dog. The weather looked really threatening but I’m pleased to say that it didn’t rain! I didn’t have to go far when I spotted a very happy looking dog walking down the path so I went to meet him. Oscar is a cross between a Jack Russell and Staffordshire Bull Terrier, he’s a handsome boy! It’s really interesting to see which features a dog gets from each breed; Oscar has the face shape of a Jack Russell and the features of a Staffie! Oscar is very alert, he had his eye on the ball the whole time I was with him! Oscar’s parents saw a advert for him on a website. When they went to meet him they were worried about what might happen to him if they didn’t give him a home so he came to live with them, I’m glad he did!

I didn’t get out at lunchtime today so I popped to the park on my way to pick up Ethan. There wasn’t many people about but I spotted Ben from Day 272, he’s such a lovely boy, I gave him lots of strokes! I walked a bit further and I spotted a lady walking a cute a little dog so I walked as fast as I could to say hello! Sophie is a friendly girl and she’s very cute! Sophie used to belong to her current humans daughter but she cam to live with her when she was 12 months old.

I didn’t get chance to look for a dog until I got back to Bolton today. I went for a walk at the bottom of my parents street but it was very quiet about. I had to walk for a good 15 minutes until I spotted a very happy looking dog in the distance. I was very pleased to meet Hewie, he’s a lovely, friendly boy and likes to lean into peoples legs for a cuddle! I got a cuddle and a kiss from him! Before Hewie’s humans got him they did lots of research about what breed to get; they wanted a small dog but with a big personality and they definitely got that in Hewie! Hewie has two human siblings; they’re best buds. On Christmas day Hewie got very excited, more excited than the kids and ripped all of the open his presents in no time! His tennis balls didn’t last for very long!

I went to Moss Bank Park this afternoon with Tim and Ethan. There were plenty of dogs about and then I spotted a really lovely looking Boxer Dog so I went over to say hello. Cleo is a gorgeous girl. She’s getting quite old now but she’s still very active and alert, she’s full of beans! Cleo had some bad news early this year, she was diagnosed with cancer. Fortunately they found out early enough that the vets could operate. Cleo had lots of fuss from people walking past today, she is very lovely though!

I popped into town today with Tim and Ethan. On the way home in the car I spotted a beautiful trainee Guide Dog so I got Tim to pull over so I could say hello! Bessie is a lovely girl, she has such a gorgeous face! I got to give her lots of fuss and even tickled her belly! Bessie has been with her puppy walker since she was 6 weeks old; she’s now 18 months old and she’s due to start her training any time now! This is the first time that her puppy walkers have looked after a Guide Dog puppy but they’ve had lots of Golden Retrievers in the past.

I really respect the people that look after the Guide Dog puppies, it must be so difficult to say goodbye to them, they obviously have really big hearts! Bessie’s walker is a bit nervous about how she’s feel saying goodbye but she would consider doing it again. Bessie is a very loving dogs, she loves cuddles. Bessie is best friends with another Guide Dog puppy called Warrior, they go for a walk and play together every day!

I’ve had a real treat today, a trip to the spa at the Last Drop Village with my mum! I’m extremely relaxed now! On the way back to the car I spotted a man walking two very lovely dogs so I went to meet them. By the time I’d reached them Bertie the Border Collie had already ran off so I decided to make Amber a beautiful Golden Labrador/ Retriever cross my dog of the day. Amber is a lovely girl, she very friendly and was also very relaxed! When Amber was a puppy she was in the Guide Dog training programme but unfortunately she didn’t make it because she didn’t stop ‘spending’ on the lead! Amber gets on well with her dog housemate Bertie although they are quite different temperament; Bertie doesn’t stop!

I went to my parents house this afternoon so myself, my dad and Ethan decided to go for a walk. We only got to the end of the street when we bumped into Mia from Day 105, such a lovely girl! I then spotted a very handsome Dalmatian so I went over to meet him. Dexter is very friendly boy and he really liked Ethan; he loves kids and has a human brother! Dexter is the first Dalmatian I’ve had on my blog so I was really pleased to meet him! I’m not very familiar with the breed but his human mummy was telling me what a loving and affectionate breed they are. Dexter loves to have cuddles and giving kisses; I got a kiss off him!

I popped to the park this afternoon on way to pick up Ethan from nursery. Despite the weather being beautiful it was pretty quiet in the park but then I spotted a Golden Labrador in the field. Ben is a lovely, friendly boy, he walked round me about 5 times when I first went over, making sure I was giving him lots of strokes! It was quite difficult to get a photo of Ben at first as he kept coming up to me for more strokes! Ben was enjoying playing with his golf ball whilst I was with him!

I’m got the week off work this week; I’m very pleased! Today I decided to go and visit my mum and dad’s friends Alan and Pauline to see their lovely dogs and make them my dogs of the day! Max and Molly are a lovely pair, so cute! They were both very excited when we arrived, it took them quite a while to calm down! Molly has a had a litter of puppies and one of her puppies Joey was also there visiting today. Ethan had a great time playing with the dogs and he was laughing his head off when Max stared licking his belly! Max is a very affectionate boy, he’s a real softy!

I’m working today and I actually managed to get ready in good time (I’m normally really slow on a Sunday) so I had enough time to pop to the park before work! As soon as I arrived I spotted a couple walking 2 very cute dogs! Amber and Scamp are very friendly, I gave them both a good stroke! They are both rescue dogs Amber is from Leigh Cats and Dogs Home and Scamp was found tied up outside a golf course. Fortunately he was taken to his current humans sons vets and that’s how he came to live with them. I know I’ve said this before but I really don’t understand why people abandon dogs, if they really don’t want them why don’t they take them to a rescue centre? Amber and Scamp get on well together but Scamp has little dog syndrome and barks at all other dogs!

I went for a walk at lunchtime today and almost straight away I spotted what I thought was a handsome German Shepherd. It turns out that Archie is actually a German Shepherd and Akita cross. I couldn’t see the Akita at first but there were certain facial expressions that he would do where you could see some Akita! Archie is a lovely boy, but he can be a little timid, he doesn’t like load noises. A few people stopped to stoke Archie whilst I was with him because he’s so nice!

I’ve worked a really long day today! I didn’t get out of work until 9.30! I knew it would be a late one so I wanted to make sure I found a dog early on; unfortunately I had no luck at lunchtime. I headed out again at 5pm and my colleague spotted a dog across the road so I ran after them. I was very relieved to meet lovely Bella! Bella is a shy girl but I did manage to give her a little stroke, her humans said I was honoured! Bella goes with her humans everywhere, they only go on holiday to places that take dogs! Bella has a special dog car seat, how cool is that!

It was a bit rainy this afternoon so I waited until it was just drizzling  a little bit and myself, Ethan, my mum and my dad went for a walk. It was pretty quiet about but eventually I spotted a very handsome Chocolate Labrador called Rolo. Rolo is a very friendly boy, myself and Ethan got to give him a fuss! He’s really good with kids, his human have two nieces and he lets them clamber all over him!

I had to wait for Tim to get home tonight before I could go in search for a dog, so as soon as he got back I headed to the park. I could see some dogs in the distance so I ran (it was really more of a slow jog) to catch them up! When I got closer to the group of 4 dogs I realised that one of the dogs was gorgeous Mika from day 74. Her dog brother Mason wasn’t with her today as he’s hurt his paw, I hope he feels better soon. Two of the dogs in the group today were gorgeous French Bulldogs and it turns out they also live with Mika and Mason; 4 brilliant dogs in one house, I’m well jealous! Mika is like the mummy bear and looks after them all! I decided to make beautiful Lexi my dog of the day. Lexi is Norman the other French Bulldogs mummy, it’s nice that Lexi gets to live with her lovely boy! Hopefully I’ll see Norman again so that he can be my Dog of the Day. Lexi is a really friendly girl, she never stops smiling and I got to give her lots of strokes! Lexi and Norman are going to feature in the French Bulldog Rescue GB 2016 Calendar.
